Having said that, I must admit that I am an ardent fan of books that is related to General Knowledge which we fondly call in short form "GK". I have bought many books in the past but when I saw this book "Comprehensive General Knowledge: Ready Referencer 2022" by B K Leelahree, I did not give it a second thought before grabbing one. 

There are various reasons why I bought this book. First and foremost, this book has a massive 25,000 GK Facts along with 6,000 General English and 410 GK/English Topics. This is a bulky compilation and one cannot read it in full, in a stretch which is not advisable too as it is really difficult to remember the content in one go.

The first module is the lengthiest among all which runs over 210 pages. There are many facts which would take you by surprise. I am sure, this book would have taken a few months, if not years to compile all in one go. I would say this is a really good attempt by the author who has meticulously collected all the data and compiled and presented it to us in one place. 

If you have a kid at home or anyone who is interested in GK, this is a perfect gifting option. Priced at just Rs.860, I would say it is worth your time and money as you would get yourself equipped with vital information that would go a long way in helping you in your life, be it on the personal front or on your professional life.

Charlotte's web

● "Charlotte's web" by E.B. White, originally written in 1952 is about a girl called Fern who saved a baby pig from being slaughtered. 

》From then on Fern raised the pig and named it Wilbur. 

》When Wilbur grew too big for the house, he was moved to Fern's uncle's barn, where Fern wouldn't get to see him that often. Wilbur became best friends with a grey spider named Charlotte. Mr and Mrs Zuckurman (Fern's uncle and auntie), were planning to kill Wilbur and have some tasty pork for dinner as soon as Charlotte came up with a plan to save Wilbur's entire life.

》Charlotte's Web is my second favorite book at times but sometimes it is also my favorite book.

 》I like it because the author really describes everything in a very nice and positive way and it definitely deserves to be a classic because it is a very nice and sweet story.

》This book is one of the most heartwarming stories  it teaches all ages of children what generosity, kindness and friendship really are. 

》This book is very imaginative and humorous. I would rate this book 5\5stars.

Historic temple

 Location: Jayankondam in Ariyalur district,          Tamilnadu.

Built in: 11th century.

The Brihadeshwara Temple at Gangaikonda Cholapuram is  one of the largest temples of south India. 

Only a portion of the great temple remains now. The stones from portions were taken to build the Lower Anaicut across the Kollidam. 

It is part of the UNESCO heritage site. The temple   was constructed by Rajendra Chola I . The temple at Gangaikonda Cholapuram was constructed to celebrate the victorious march of Rajendra Chola I, up to the Ganga river in eastern India. 

The vimana of the Brihadeshwara Temple towers to a height of 55m.

 The visitors at the temple complex are welcomed by a huge statue of Nandi Bull, which faces the temple.

 The front portion of the temple is divided with the Ardha-mandapam and the Maha-mandapam

The walls of the main temple and those of the surrounding minor temples are richly decorated with the finest sculptures
